Frequently asked questions

If a question is missing, it is probably because we do not have an honest answer for it yet. We add them as we go.

The product

What exactly does Coverly do?

Coverly keeps your insurance policies and their general terms, classifies them automatically, and lets you ask questions about your cover in natural language.

The answer comes back in plain language and always names the document, and where possible the clause, it was drawn from.

Does Coverly tell me which insurance is best?

No, and that is not a technical limit: it is a decision. Coverly does not compare market products, does not route offers and gives no insurance advice. It shows what the contracts you already hold actually say.

What documents can I upload?

Policies and general terms as PDF, or a photo or a scan (JPG, PNG). If a document is too damaged to be read reliably, Coverly tells you and asks for a new upload, rather than returning wrong data.

Do I have to fill in forms with the policy details?

No. Insurer, policy number, validity dates, premium and deductible are extracted from the document. All that is left for you is the confirmation.

Do I need to install an app?

No. Coverly runs in the browser, on your phone and on your computer, and can be added to the home screen like a regular app. There is nothing to download from an app store.

The AI assistant

Where do the answers come from?

Only from the documents in your own space. Not from the internet, not from general knowledge about the insurance market, not from other users documents.

What if the answer is not in my documents?

It tells you explicitly. That is the correct behaviour: an invented answer about insurance cover can cost far more than a plain "this information is not in your documents".

Can the AI be wrong?

Yes, like any automated system. That is why every answer carries its source: you can verify it in a second. And every answer is a reminder that this is information based on your documents, not advice.

Can I ask in a language other than the policy language?

Yes. You can ask in English even if the policy is in Italian. The citation is shown in the original language of the document though, because what matters is how your policy is written, not a translation.

Documents, privacy, access

Who can see my documents?

You, and the brokers you granted an active delegation to. No other Coverly user can reach your policies, by any route.

Where is the data stored?

On infrastructure located in Switzerland, in the Switzerland North region of the cloud provider.

Can I delete my documents?

Yes, you can remove policies from your space. If a broker held an active delegation when the document was shared, what the security page describes about revocation still applies.

Brokers and delegations

What is a delegation?

It is the authorisation by which you let a broker access your policies, and in some cases upload on your behalf. It can cover a single policy or all of them, and you can revoke it whenever you want.

Can I work with more than one broker?

Yes. You can hold several active delegations at once, each with a different scope. Each broker sees only their own part.

What happens if I revoke a delegation?

The broker stops seeing the policies you add from that moment on. They keep the documents received while the delegation was active, as already happens with the documents a broker holds under their mandate.

I am a broker, how do I get portal access?

Create a Coverly account with your professional address, then request broker profile activation from the support section inside the application. This website carries no contact forms.

Pricing and account

What does it cost?

If you arrive through your broker, it is free for you. As a direct customer it is CHF 99 a year. For a broker it is CHF 2 a year per managed client, with no base fee.

How do I sign in?

With your email address and a one-time code sent to you by email. There is no password to remember.

This website

Why is there no contact form?

By choice. This site collects no data of any kind: no forms, no cookies, no analytics. Everything you might need happens inside the application, where we already know who you are.

Does the site use cookies?

No. We use no cookies, no analytics, and load no content from external services. That is why you see no consent banner.

The fastest way to understand it is to try it

Upload one policy and ask the first question.

Coverly is not an insurer, not a broker, not a comparison service, and gives no insurance advice.
